Blame it on Jack
(and a Life in Motion)
“Some debts you repay in poetry”
I’m Murielle. Actress. Singer. Writer. A Daughter of Guadeloupe- with the island’s storms and waterfalls, drummed rhythms and old family stories, a forever chaperone on my journey.

You can blame my love of cinema on my dad, Jack. He’s the one who raised me on Westerns and war films in grand Sunday marathons. His tradition became my initiation. I fell in love with horses, heroes, and stories that burn with intensity and before long I was creating plays and ‘movies’ with my sisters at every family gathering. And the poetry of the world of storytelling. I wrote a poem for him and read it aloud on horseback. Some debts you repay in poetry.
“Italian food is my weakness, the kitchen is not”
My mother gave me music. She is a remarkable singer - and an even better cook. I inherited only one of those talents (guess which). Our house was filled with song, and though I never mastered the kitchen.. Music became a language which never left me.
“Learning lines at the speed of light, moving through set like electricity”

I began my acting career in Guadeloupe where I booked my first lead role on a TV show, before setting off to Paris to expand my horizons. I continued working in television and film before making my way to Los Angeles. I modeled, shot commercials, and finally stepped into my first U.S. feature film, The Ritual Killer where I played Maria Kersch- the detective partner to Cole Hauser’s character. The role gave me my first real taste of action, a genre which I’d always loved, and whose waters I’m eager to dive deeper into.
Today I’m Daphne on The Bold and the Beautiful. My character splits time between Paris and Los Angeles, letting me balance the show with the pursuit of other creative projects. The pace is quick - and I’ve had to master the craft and rhythm of the set, learning lines (at lightning speed), and knowing my light. I’ve also been simultaneously delving into my passion for action, honing my chops through tactical training, boxing, and galloping hands free on the California trails near my home. I’d love to find a chance to utilize all those skills on a project. It’s been a journey, resettling after the Malibu fires with my daughter, and I'm ready and excited for the next opportunity to immerse myself into a film.
“ Music has become another way I tell stories. ”
I’ve enjoyed playing with other vehicles for storytelling, music being chief amongst them. I’m co-writing with Zoë Smith and Eric Valentine, and recording my first single with Tony Berg. On October 1st, I’ll release my debut song on Spotify.
“There’s something thrilling about building a world from scratch - and then stepping into it”
I’m also finishing my first feature script, Overdue - a love story. After years of developing the idea, I’m now working with an amazing co-writer, Sean Fortier, to bring it to life. It’s been an enlightening process, delving deep into characters from the writer’s angle. Everything I do deepens my craft as an actress.. And writing has specifically crystallized how real each character is, in every aspect of themselves. Their past aspirations, their fears, or favorite foods. Colors. Phobias. Even if we don’t portray it in the film, there’s something thrilling about building a world from scratch - then stepping into it. Soon I’ll gather friends around a table for the first read.
These days I live in a trailer in Topanga with my daughter. It’s all about freedom. Freedom to write until dawn, to record music with friends or to ride horses through the hills, to explore the truth within characters, and to pursue the creative vision that keeps (always) pulling me forward. The gravitational well of art is endless. If there’s a throughline in all of this, it’s simple: I want to keep creating, exploring, and sharing worlds that inspire - and I hope to do it alongside others who bring their own spark to the journey.
